Greetings in the holy name of Christ!

These are the "dog days" of summer here in Mississippi. Most of our month has been 100 degrees and we have had little rain. I recently was taking a walk and looking at the scattered clouds that were in the sky. My mind remembered the scripture which says, "They are like clouds without rain." It has been warm but the call of God to His lost flock ever remains the same. When one comes to our Lord the gentle rains of heaven is poured upon that thirsty soul. The water our Lord rains upon us is living water unto salvation.

"Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." (St. John 4:13-14)

I recently met a young man who has just been released from prison. This young man is very simple and small of stature. He shared with me that his crime was being an accessory in stealing a tool box in Texas. The seven years in the prison system that he spent, has stripped him of his confidence and courage. He has lost his family (2 kids) and now he is wandering trying to find his way. I have talked with him about Christ but there is resistance in him. The God he has heard about sends people to hell's fire and judgement.

This is not what we preach and teach. We teach that our God is a God of reconciliation not rejections. Pray for Rudy. Pray that our good Lord will touch this young man's heart.

We thank you for your financial support through these hard times. And we especially thank you for your prayers. May God bless you as you remember us.

In His love I write,
Fr. David Ogan
