Greetings in the holy name of Christ!
The FELLOWSHIP OF ST. SILAS prison ministry provides spirtiual and pastoral care to those
who are in prison. Our intention is to provide a "hand" of mercy to those who desire
forgiveness, reconciliation and hope while in prison. We accomplish this through weekly
mailings, literature and help to coordinate personal and pastoral visitations while in prison.
We have been called to those who are often forgotten. Many of the men and women we minister
to have "burned" their bridges of family and faith. This is a unique ministry of the Orthodox
Christian Church. We have touched the lives of thousands with the message of God's love. Our
hope is that we can be a door of compassion to those who are trying to reclaim their faith
and practice.
Through your help and financial support this ministry exists. We ask for your continued
support as we fulfill this calling to bring the light of the Gospel of Christ to the
dark world of prison.
"Let brotherly love continue. Do no forget to entertain strangers, for by doing some
have unwittingly entertained angels. Remember the prisoners as if chained with them -
since you yourselves are in the body also."
(Hebrews 13:1-3)
We have changed our name to the Fellowship of St. Silas, HOWEVER, our mission and calling
has not changed. By God's grace we have been blessed to minister to our wayward flock for
over 15 years.
May the loving care of the Holy Trinity be with you as we prepare for the beauty of the
Nativity of our Lord.
In His love I remain,
Fr. David
