God is good to me - Gerard

Dear Father David,

Just a note to say Hello and also thank you for your love and kindness.  I thank God for giving you a purpose which you have been faithful to.  I pray you and all your loved ones had a blessed and joyful Thanksgiving.

Even though I might be in prison, I have so much to be thankful for.  God has been so good to me.  It is my desire to serve Him faithfully and to live a life which is pleasing to Him.  For too many years, I put my desires before what God desired for me.  I hate that it took me coming to prison to realize just how much God loves me and all of us.  Even though I've lost everything:  house, car, job, even friends and family, I've never been richer or happier than I am right now sitting in my prison cell.

I lost a lifestyle but gained a real life.  I wouldn't change a thing if it meant I couldn't be the person I am today.  I am a new person in our Lord Jesus Christ.
